About Veva

Veva S. Dunckel is a Syracuse University and Georgia State University graduate. Once a New York fabric and needlework designer and special art education teacher, she now concentrates solely on her art.

In addition to traditional painting, Veva explores fascinating combinations of canvas, collage, board and added materials such as metals, findings, oriental papers and photographs.

A major influence in her work is her extensive travels throughout the world. In fact, many of her journeys have motivated by her art such as trips to India, China, France, England and Guatemala, where she and other artists painted murals in a hospital.

Veva attributes her success to her ability to remain focused and maintain her personal momentum. She continues to develop and expand her own style.
